January 2007 – Participation at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES)
Brian Engleman, Director of Business Development for ILG, represented several clients at the Consumer Electronics Show, the largest show of its kind, this month in Las Vegas. This direct contact to potential partners is a hallmark of ILG’s business.
January 2007 – JP Morgan Healthcare Investors Conference San Francisco Participation
Bruce Scott, President of ILG, was invited to participate at the 2007 version of the largest healthcare conference on the west coast. ILG participated in a number of presentations and one-on-one client meetings as well
December 2006 – New Technology Available
ILG has recently agreed to represent Rehab Associates, LLC in commercializing their Polylift system for Functional Capacity Testing. This technology allows the health and insurance industries to determine whether an individual is providing maximum effort when testing their functional capacity and has the potential to save millions of dollars annually in workers compensation costs.
October 2006 - Engagement of Public Biotech Company to complete technology search and acquisition
ILG formed a partnership with a public biotech from the UK to conduct and complete an M & A search to neurology-based therapeutics to add to and strengthen the Client’s pipeline. In addition to search and assessment, ILG will support the negotiations and deal closure process for the firm. The leading candidate has already been identified.
September 2006 – ILG connects one of its clients with a corporate partner.
One our clients in the optical wave guide technology space signed an agreement with a leading optical company in Silicon Valley that ILG facilitated. This firm plans to design and manufacture components from our client’s technology and market those products internationally. These units are the first mainstream photonic devices employing nanophotonically engineered structures as their principal functional mechanism.
August 2006 – ILG secures licensee for Northrop Grumman
In the fall of 2005 ILG initiated an engagement with Northrop Grumman Space Technology to conduct a licensing campaign for some of their technologies. In 2006 ILG found a company interested in the laser technology for dental applications and worked with them to structure the kind of deal that fit for both companies. The two companies are finalizing the details of the agreement expected to be completed by early 07.
June 21, 2006 - ILG President, Bruce Scott, to Present at Bio-Nanotechnology Conference
Bruce Scott, President and CEO of Intellectual Licensing & Capitol Group, inc. has accepted a request to present and sit on
a technology transfer panel at a NanoBiotechnology conference. The conference is organized by the International
Association of Nanotechnology, a Sacramento based organization that helps investors, industry executives, and the
public understand and profit from the rapid growth of nanotechnology in the biotech and other industry segments.
The conference will be held on June 19-21 at the Crown Plaza Hotel near the San Francisco airport and be attended
by investors, industry researchers, representatives from research institutes and government and academic officials.
April 2006 - CurXcel signs license assignment for small molecules compounds useful
for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease
In April of this year CurXcel, an early stage biotech company, signed a license assignment
agreement negotiated by ILG in which they now have full development and commercialization
rights to a portfolio of small molecule compounds designed for the treatment and prevention
of Alzheimer’s disease. ILG is now in the phase of interviewing VC’s and corporate partners
on behalf of the CurXcel with the objective of selecting a financial and strategic partner.
May 18, 2006 - ILG CEO to Moderate Panel at an Investing and Business
Conference
Bruce Scott, President and CEO of Intellectual Licensing & Capitol Group, inc., has
accepted a request to be a panel moderator at an Investing and Business
Conference. The conference is organized by Neurolnsights, a San
Francisco based company that helps investors, industry executives, and
the public understand and profit from the rapid growth of companies
treating brain and nervous system illnesses. The conference will be held
on May 18 at the Westin San Francisco and be attended by investors,
industry executives, representatives from research institutes and
government and academic officials.
April 9-12 2006 - ILG participates in BIO 2006 Business Forum
ILG will be participating in the upcoming BIO 2006 in Chicago this year. It is the
largest Biotech partnering conference held in the US. Bruce Scott, CEO,
will be attending and also running the partnering activity for ILG
clients. This is where companies can bulletin board their technologies
and interested parties set up meetings with the owners. It is one of the
examples of where ILG is involved in activities that leads to licensing
and partnering deals getting identified and accomplished.
March 7, 2006 - ILG presents technologies for Corporate Partnering
at OFC 2006.
OFC is one of the Fiber Optical industry's most prominent trade
shows. People come from all corners of the earth to meet and greet,
teach and learn, make connections and move business forward for this one
week each year. ILG leverages these opportunities to provide exposure
for projects and had two representatives present at the trade show in
Anaheim.
February 28, 2006 - ILG helps Sting Free Technology Corporation (SFTC)
raise over $1 million from West Coast investors.
ILG is an active consultant to SFTC and has provided strategic and
business expansion advice, polymer and polymer application expertise and
also introduced investor groups to the company over the last few months.
Rob Vito, CEO of SFTC, strongly endorses the contributions made by ILG
across the board and arrangements are in place for ILG to continue as a
long term contributor and team member for SFTC.
January 22, 2006 - ILG presents technologies for Corporate
Partnering at Photonics West 2006.
Thousands of technical professionals interested in photon-based
technologies and how they will drive the 21st Century will be attending
Photonics West. This venue provides a chance to interact with
researchers, developers, engineers, entrepreneurs, system integrators,
and corporate managers. ILG was an exhibitor at this years show in San
Jose.
December 15, 2005 - ILG adds Dr. Robert Burmeister to
Advisory Board
Robert A. Burmeister, Ph.D. has over 25 years experience in
commercializing technology in Optical & Photonics, Fiber Optic
Components and Semiconductor Lasers. Dr Burmeister's role will be to
spear head commercialization projects within his field. He was the
Director of the Materials Research Laboratory at Hewlett-Packard
Laboratories and the founding Director of the US-Japan Technology
Management Center at Stanford University, established as a center of
excellence in technology management research and education related to
Japan.
September, 2005 - ILG signs an agreement with a Multi-Billion dollar
Defense Contractor.
Based on ILG's strength in a variety of life science, semiconductor
and photonics areas, it has been asked to provide licensing, search and
business development expertise to this large and diverse company and
directly help them monetize some of their Intellectual Property assets.
